Getting ready for a Fuller Brush show or any show!

November 13, 2008

Each year I do a Holiday Craft Show in conjunction with the Hilton Head Oyster Fest. I have been organizing this section of the Oyster Fest for the last six years. The proceeds from the vendor space is used toward the Island Recreation Scholarship Fund and also my favorite charity Spay and Neuter Assistance Program.

Each year I also set up a table for  my fuller brush products. This year I will be promoting the carpet sweeper. I have two carpet sweepers and one oriental rug to use as a demonstration when asked about them.

I found some really nice black burlap material for my table, which i will display the colorful brochures and some cute colorful goody bags to give out free.

The craft show was a success. There were over 2000 people that attended the event. I was able to sell one carpet sweeper and many different kinds of cleaning products.   The weather on Saturday was cloudy most of the day with a down pour at 3:30 which scared most of the customers away. In spite of that I was happy that I sold some products.

Overall after I paid the $65 Vendors Fee, I was able to make a  profit.  Make sure when signing up for a vendors booth that you have products available to sell. Customers like to see products they are buying not just catalogs. Don’t forget to hand free stuff such as goody bags.
